Account & Data Deletion

Delete your VivaLife AI account & data

VivaLife AI, published by VivaLife AI Inc., lets you permanently delete your account and the data stored in it, or delete only specific data while keeping your account. This page explains how, and exactly what is removed or retained.

1. Delete your entire account

This permanently erases your account and the data stored in it, except what is listed under “Retained” in Section 3.

In the VivaLife AI app:

  1. 1Open the VivaLife AI app and sign in.
  2. 2If you have a subscription, cancel it first in your App Store or Google Play settings, or on our website’s account page if you subscribed there. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel it.
  3. 3Go to Settings → Delete account.
  4. 4Type the confirmation phrase and pass your phone’s security check (Face ID, fingerprint or passcode), if your phone has one.
  5. 5Your account is deleted about 30 days later (30 to 31 days; if a step fails, we retry daily until it completes). To cancel before then, open the app, go back to Settings → Delete account and tap Cancel deletion. Signing in again does not cancel it. After that, your account and the data stored in it are permanently erased.

Can’t access the app? Email us and we’ll verify your identity and process the deletion for you.

Email a deletion request

Send from your account email to privacy@vivalifeai.com (the button above fills in the subject). We complete deletion requests made by email within 30 days, without the app’s 30-day waiting period.

2. Delete specific data (without deleting your account)

You don’t have to close your account to remove data.

In the VivaLife AI app:

  1. 1Delete individual entries with the delete control on each item: meals, appointments, care/emergency contacts and comments where they appear; health-log entries (blood pressure, glucose, blood oxygen, weight, heart rate, mood, stress, anxiety and depression check-ins, pain, migraine, asthma, exercise, sleep, fasting and water) under Your entries on each health card; and videos you posted under Your videos in Video Analytics.
  2. 2A blood pressure, blood glucose or blood oxygen reading you delete won’t be added back by the next Apple Health or Health Connect sync, or by your Bluetooth device re-sending its memory. Delete it in Apple Health or Health Connect too if you want it gone from your phone’s Health data. A device without its own clock can still send an old reading again as a new one, so clear it on the device as well. These can be deleted one at a time only by emailing us: steps, gym workouts, heart rate variability, sleep stages, imported workouts, breathing exercises, journal entries, AI reports, visit-preparation summaries, meal analyses, scores, predictions and alerts, action plans, coach suggestions, and your video watch history. Email us and we will delete them (an imported entry from the last 7 days also needs deleting in Apple Health or Health Connect, or the next sync brings it back).
  3. 3To remove AI conversations from your phone, use Clear all chats in Viva chat, or Clear conversation in the coach chat (the pencil icon). This clears your phone only: coach check-in answers and goals stored in your account are removed when you delete your account, or when you ask us by email.
  4. 4Prefer a copy first? Go to Settings → Export my data. The in-app export doesn’t include everything; for a complete copy, email us before deleting.

Want us to delete specific data for you? Email a request describing exactly what to remove.

Email a data deletion request

Send from your account email to privacy@vivalifeai.com. We complete requests within 30 days.

3. What data is deleted or kept

Permanently deleted

  • Profile & account details (name, email, birthday, sex, time zone, profile photos)
  • All health & fitness data in your account — heart rate, blood pressure, glucose, weight, sleep, mood, symptoms, asthma & migraine logs, steps, workouts, and data synced from Apple Health, Google Health Connect, and Bluetooth sensors
  • AI reports, scores and coaching data
  • Medical appointments and care/emergency contacts
  • Meals, food logs, and nutrition data
  • Photos and videos you uploaded (including copies on our video delivery network), community posts and comments
  • Encrypted backups, push-notification tokens, and your sign-in log and sessions
  • Safety-screening records (the type of risk the app detected, never your messages)
  • Your subscription record at RevenueCat

Retained (and for how long)

  • Data on your phone — your medications, conditions, allergies, AI chat history, AI memory, your AI and coach settings and the log of the AI’s safety decisions are stored on your phone, and deleting your account does not erase them there. Sign out of the app, then uninstall it, to remove them (on iPhone, signing out first also clears the copies kept in the phone’s secure keychain).
  • Logs and crash reports — our logs can include your account ID; logs and crash reports expire within 90 days.
  • Copies at OpenAI — OpenAI, which screens AI messages for safety and handles recipe searches, keeps requests for a limited time for abuse and safety monitoring, then deletes them. Google, which runs our other AI features, keeps no copy, except of the requests that create recipe pictures, which contain only our AI’s description of a dish and which it may keep for a limited time to detect abuse.
  • Deletion record — your account ID, the dates and status of your request, kept 3 years as proof of deletion, then deleted automatically.
  • Hosting backups — our hosting provider’s database backups expire within 30 days. Summary tables are refreshed within 7 days.
  • Purchase records — Apple, Google and (for purchases on our website) Stripe keep their own records of your purchases, for example for tax and accounting, under their policies. We can’t delete those.
  • Email — if an email to you bounced or you marked one as spam, our email provider keeps your address on its do-not-send list.
  • Public content others saved — copies of your public videos or photos that other people already downloaded, and for up to an hour, copies kept by devices that already played your videos.
  • Website sign-ups — a newsletter subscription or waitlist email from our website, until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it.
  • Reviewer and team list — if your email address is on our list of reviewer and team accounts, that entry.
  • Other providers’ records — the records Apple and Google keep of your sign-ins with them, and the installation records our notification and app-update providers keep until they expire. For up to 14 days, a failed video-moderation message can still name one of your videos.

Timing: Account deletion runs 30 to 31 days after your request in the app (requests by email skip the waiting period). Data you delete yourself in the app is removed right away, except that a deleted video’s files are erased within an hour (or within 2 days if it was still being checked by moderation), a deleted comment leaves an empty placeholder, and a few things are only hidden (for example a paired device you remove or a report you dismiss) until your account is deleted. Our Privacy Policy, Section 7, lists them all.

4. If you signed in with Google or Apple

Deleting your account in Section 1 erases your account and the data stored in it (except what Section 3 lists as retained), no matter which sign-in method you used. One point is worth calling out separately, because it is easy to assume otherwise:

Removing VivaLife AI from your Google account, or from Apple’s Sign in with Apple settings, does not delete your VivaLife AI data. It only stops that sign-in method from working. Your VivaLife AI account and health data remain until you delete them. To erase everything, follow Section 1 above.
